Our program
The TUMO learning program consists of self-learning activities, workshops, and advanced learning labs for each area of study.
The learning path is personalized, adapted to each person’s interests and pace.

Learning Objectives
Animation
The goal of TUMO’s animation workshop is to teach students the concept of movement and the idea that animation can bring static images to life and serve as an effective tool for storytelling and addressing important topics.
By the end of this learning area, you will have a solid foundation to continue animating and refining your skills. You will be able to apply your knowledge in 3D animation, stop motion, and all types of animation.
Game Development
The goal of TUMO’s game development workshop is to teach students how to create playable and complex 3D games, with a focus on user experience. By combining level design and programming, students are encouraged to think critically about how players move through the game and interact with the interface.
This fosters a deep understanding of game development, where students not only learn how to create levels and code, but also how to design engaging game experiences that keep players interested.
Music
In the Music learning area, we work with 21st-century music. You will learn about music studios, explore different genres, become familiar with classical and electronic instruments, and work on songwriting and composition.
To do this, you will use the professional software Logic Pro, an industry standard in music production. You will take on the roles of sound engineer, composer, and music producer, and complete this learning path by creating your own song.
Filmmaking
TUMO’s film workshop focuses on the art of visual storytelling and crafting compelling narratives. We guide students to understand that filmmaking is not just about telling a story to an audience, but about showing it. By the end of the course, you will have designed, produced, filmed, and edited your own short film. You will gain knowledge of filmmaking fundamentals and hands-on experience in planning, shooting, editing, and more.
Programming
In this learning path, you will learn everything you need to enter the world of programming. You will discover how to control variables, create and manage functions, and manipulate different elements of code.
You will learn to develop server-based applications, understand the concept of version control, and use tools such as Git or Bitbucket.
As a final project, you will create your own “Game of Life” and take on advanced programming challenges, exploring different solutions that, in some cases, will also require the use of mathematical skills.
Robotics
Robotics at TUMO goes beyond simply learning new technologies. Young people develop key critical and analytical thinking skills while exploring their creative side through the programming of mobile robots.
Throughout the two levels of this learning path, students dive into the fundamentals of robotics and C++ programming, and also have the opportunity to create innovative projects based on the Internet of Things (IoT) and the Internet of Robotic Things (IoRT), taking responsibility for their own projects from start to finish.
Graphic Design
TUMO’s Graphic Design learning area focuses on the creation of visual elements, highlighting the role of shapes in visual communication. Its goal is to introduce students to the art of manipulating shapes to convey messages in an engaging and effective way.
Across the two levels of this learning path, students will create complex objects from simple shapes and deepen their knowledge of graphic design, including the use of grid-based design structures and the application of color in building a brand’s identity.
Photography
TUMO’s photography workshop focuses on the concept of photography as a powerful storytelling medium. Both levels of the workshop place a strong emphasis on the narrative potential of photographs, with a particular focus on their ability to convey meaning, intention, and emotional impact through storytelling. The workshop also aims to foster individual creativity by giving students the experience of developing their own personal vision and creative perspective.
Learn at your own pace
TUMO’s personalized learning allows you to access the right content at the right time: ensuring it is challenging enough to develop your skills. Furthermore, you will be able to progress to new content once you have fully mastered a concept. TUMO’s three types of learning are designed to promote independence and boost your personal development, while simultaneously helping you develop key skills such as collaboration and teamwork.
You will participate in three learning spaces, each building on the previous one. You will begin with the self-learning phase, working independently to complete activities with the support of a coach. After completing the self-learning activities, you will move on to one-month workshops led by our team of specialists. Once those are completed, you will gain access to learning labs led by subject-matter experts.
Self-learning
Self-learning activities are short, interactive exercises designed to inspire you and develop a specific skill through a small project. You have a long-term mentor, called a learning coach, who monitors your progress and supports you in this space. Each activity you complete is submitted for review by a Workshop Leader, an expert in the relevant field; after successfully completing the required activities, you can access the workshops specific to each area.
Workshops
Workshops are intensive monthly courses where you will combine your skills to create a larger project. You will learn from Workshop Leaders who are industry professionals with years of experience that they share directly with you. Each of your skill areas includes two workshops, ranging from beginner to advanced, and the activities between each level ensure that you are prepared for new challenges. At the end, you can save the results of your workshops in your personal online portfolio.
Learning Labs
Learning labs are led by leading industry experts who volunteer to deliver intensive two-week “master classes.” Generally reserved for more advanced students, learning labs often bring together young people from different areas of expertise to work on a group project. Alumni often cite their interactions with learning lab leaders as crucial in choosing their own career paths and future development.
Choose Your Own Path
To provide personalized learning at scale, TUMO created a platform called TUMO Path, which designs a unique learning experience for you and helps you prioritize activities. This platform creates a unique learning experience for each student and helps you prioritize activities as you explore TUMO’s extensive content library.
TUMO Path takes into account factors such as your interests and your pace of progress to create a personalized and dynamic plan that evolves as your interests change and allows you to visualize your progress. This plan evolves dynamically as your interests change or as new resources become available. TUMO Path also allows you to visualize your progress as you advance through new workshops.
